Great job by SPM team members from the Brandon, FL office, as well as our senior communities, San Lorenzo Terrace, St. Giles Manor I and Plant City Towers. These volunteers represented SPM during the 2017 National Sunshine Summit to End Hunger! Some of the residents at the communities mentioned above will be recipients of the meals packed today.
The 2017 National Sunshine Summit to End Hunger is a two-day event co-hosted by the Tampa Bay Network to End Hunger and the Allianc…e to End Hunger. The summit provided organizers and the broader anti-hunger community a forum to learn, share, and network while exploring best practices in solving hunger.
Nearly 1,000 community members and leaders lined up on the Promenade of the Amalie Arena to convert bulk foods into smaller, family-sized bags to create a balanced meal bag. These bags were distributed to food pantries around the Tampa Bay Area to give to communities in need.
